Welcome to the internet site of the International Conference on the Crystallisation of Biological Macromolecules. Please visit ICCBM13 for passed and ICCBM14 for upcoming conference in the series. ICCBM15 is under construction.During ICCBM9, the IOBCr was founded. Its objective is to promote research and practical applications of biological crystallization. It organises and supports interdisciplinary workshops and schools that foster professional contacts and mutual education between (bio-)crystallographers, (bio-)chemists, (bio-)physicists, and engineers. The IOBCr also organizes the biannual International Conferences on Crystallization of Biological Macromolecules

Focus was on challenging systems to include macromolecular complexes and membrane proteins with an emphasis on novel practical as well as mechanistic aspects of crystallogenesis.

Focus will be on the practical and theoretical basis of macromolecular crystallization involving synthetic biology, protein complexes, nucleic acids, membrane proteins and convection-free crystallization platforms.

Focus will be on the latest methods for to grow and prepare crystals for future synchrtron and XFEL radiation sources.
